Every session, you can watch short films straight from our Official Selection, followed by a ‘gezellige’ Q&A with the teams. The Sessions are English spoken, and the films are subtitled in English.
After each screening, we interview the team behind the film and get to know more about their process and vision.

The Official Competition

Idriss Nabil | Live-Action | 20’00’’
To prevent his music teacher Seydou from being evicted from the Netherlands, ten-year-old Asare decides to adopt him. When grown-up reality creeps up on Asare’s plan, he risks losing not only his friend but also his child-like imagination.

Tenizng Norbu Woing | Documentary | 13’48’’
A documentary about the Chinese immigrants of the 1990s. They discuss their migration history, their lives of hard work in the Chinese kitchens and their survival in the Red Light District of Amsterdam. A vulnerable encounter with people who always seem to be hidden behind the latch of the Eastern specialities. They relive moving, hopeful and difficult memories together at the dining table. A journey of nostalgic stories intertwined with songs they sing about “Home”.
