The path towards your Kring membership has three steps. In short

1. Proposers

Two Kring members who will vouch for you and who would love you to join De Kring. They will need to motivate their support on your registration form. If you don’t know any Kring members as yet, please let us know as we may help you find proposers.

2. Vetting Process

In a personal conversation, the Vetting Committee will test whether you would feel at home amongst our 1,500 creative folk and nonconformists 

3. Payment

De Kring is Amsterdam’s cultural home away from home. Here you will find our members-only restaurant, renowned for its creative yet affordable cuisine, a nightclub and our main club room staging more than 300 activities per year: from live music to exhibitions, debates, in-depth interviews famous painters, politicians to performers who often happen to be fellow members! 

Although our membership fee is much lower than those of our affiliated clubs like the Groucho Club in London or the Foreign Correspondents’ Club in Hong Kong, our membership doesn’t come for free either.

In addition to your membership fee, a registration fee of €35 and an annual bar fee of €45 for a full-fee membership or €22.50 for discounted memberships will be charged. The bar fee will be credited to your membership card and can be spent on food or drinks.
