Thursday Dinner
You are welcome to join De Kring’s most sociable dinner table. Guests are always welcome! You can expect a diverse group of mavericks with a background in the arts and sciences.
Friday Cocktails & Dance Night
Start the evening with a cocktail (5-8pm). We dance the night away every Friday as of 9pm. Great Amsterdam DJs spin the records you forgot you loved!

The process of joining De Kring
Thank you for your interest in joining Amsterdam’s premier culture club. Upon receipt of your application, we will be in touch to guide you through the necessary steps and provide any assistance you may need.
1. Apply
To apply for membership, you will need to be supported by two members who would love you to join our family. Haven’t met any members yet? Just drop by for a visit first.
2. Vetting Process
Your eligibility for membership will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. It may seem a paradox that a club presenting itself as a hotbed for art, culture and science has a vetting process. However, paradoxes are essential for exploring new ways of thinking and understanding the complexity of our world. You will qualify if you have a (professional) background in or can otherwise convince us of your contributions to the arts, sciences, literature, journalism. But not to worry! For over 100 years, the Membership Committee has assembled a motley crew of creative minds whilst being discerning enough to ensure they will all feel at home and will maintain the unique DNA of De Kring.
3. Membership Fees
De Kring is a cultural home right in the heart of the city. Our unique premises offer a restaurant, renowned for its creative and affordable cuisine, a night club and our main club room. We curate a comprehensive programme with over 300 events, ranging from live music to exhibitions, debates, lectures, and in-depth interviews with artists and thought leaders – many of whom are members.
Obviously, memberships* aren’t free of charge. Although our fees are much lower than those of our affiliate clubs like The Groucho Club in London or the Foreign Correspondents’ Club in Hong Kong!
