Concert | The Fried Seven 'Roll Some Jelly' album release

The Fried Seven
Weaned on classic records by King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, and others, The Fried Seven bring a youthful, virtuosic twist to their music-making that makes it all the more engaging and authentic. Based in Amsterdam and Paris they have fast become favorites on the European jazz scene, playing to packed crowds across the continent. The Fried Seven are happy to play in Amsterdam, featuring Berlin based piano player Carlos Santana. The band is presenting their second album, released on Rivermont Records, entitled The Fried Seven Roll Some Jelly.
The program of music is centered around jazz pioneer, composer, arranger and pianist Jelly Roll Morton. The band made a selection of both well known classics as well as lesser known pieces to give audiences an exciting listening experience, immersing them in the sounds of jazz from a hundred years ago. The Fried Seven play this music as authentically and will show you why the music was exciting in 1926, and that it is still just as exciting in 2026.
