
Swing at De Kring | Sam Ghezzi invites Duved Dunayevsky
For this edition of Swing at De Kring, Sam Ghezzi has invited Duved Dunayevsky. Dunayevsky is a Paris-based guitarist, composer and band leader. He is recognized by many as the foremost interpreter of Django Reinhardt’s 1930s guitar style.
Currently, Dunayevsky’s leading the experimental “Prebop Orchestra” and the Hot-Club style ensemble “Duved And His Transatlantic Five”. Duved regularly performs in jazz festivals around the globe, but on June 26th he’ll be joining the Swing at De Kring session right here in Amsterdam.
Sam Ghezzi is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and bandleader based in Amsterdam. His career focuses on blues, jazz and everything between these two worlds.
With Roaring Cats (swing octet) and The Hi-Stakes (rhythm ‘n’ blues quintet) he is currently performing in many festivals and clubs around the globe.
Through a philologically conscious approach, his music guarantees a thought out performance, always accompanied by a sophisticated sarcasm and dynamic enthusiasm.
